Here is the latest information about the Geoff Salmon sensei seminar. This has been sent to dojo leaders, so you should have all seen it, but here it is again, just in case!
The schedule is as follows
Friday 27/08/10 20:00 - 22:00 : welcome jigeko in Marino Institute of Education hosted by Dublin Kendo Kobukai
Saturday 28/08/10 10:00 - 16:00 : Seminar Artane/Beaumont Family Recreation Centre
Saturday 28/08/10 18:30 - late : Dinner in Yamamori Sushi on Lower Ormond Quay
Sunday 29/08/10 10:00 - 14:00 : Seminar Artane/Beaumont Family Recreation Centre
The Artane/Beaumont Family Recreation Centre is located here http://url.ie/74vc
And Marino Institute of Education is here http://url.ie/74vg
Yamamori Sushi is here http://url.ie/79y1 (Note this is Yamamori Sushi on Ormond Quay, not Yamamori Noodles on South Great George's Street!!).
The cost of the seminar will be €25 for adults attending part or all of the seminar (no daily rate). Children will be €10.
The seminar is open to all people practicing kendo and specially to the new members, including those not in bogu.
If you are coming from the city centre the best transport options are the 20b or 27b busses.
The 20b stops right outside the Artane Beaumont Family Recreation Centre (ABFRC). Ask the driver to let you off at the ABFRC, or the Artane Castle Shopping Centre (the ABFRC is just across the road).
The 27b stops a little further up Kilmore road. Again you can ask the driver to let you off at the ABFRC, but if they don't know it then just ask for the Kilmore Road stop.
You can see these and other bus routes on this website: http://mkmap.com/dublin.
Bus timetables are available here http://www.dublinbus.ie/
Don't forget to get there in plenty of time so that you are changed and ready to go at 10am!
It should be an excellent weekend of kendo and a chance to practice under the direction of a highly respected teacher. I look forward to seeing you there. |
