Hi all,
Just wondering would it be a good idea maybe to have a over 35,s category at the main competitions in Ireland ?
There is a few who this might appeal to , and it may encourage older people to get involved in Kendo, also engorge the older members of the clubs to continue.
What say ye......... |

If time allows, it looks like a good idea. Personally, I dont mind doing competitions with younger kendoka ( I am 47, but I have some experience). However, I can see the point of people who are beginning kendo in their 30's, with no shiai experience. If the idea IS possible, I think an enbu would be more suitable than winning medals etc. _________________ Bun bu ichi

That sounds great, might be nice to have a few medals do as Some of the older guys may have never competed in any kind of competitions and a little reward for for their efforts would be good, especially when the other events on the day would receive a prize .
Medals are like grades ......they don't mater to the people who have them
