Galway Kendo Club is located in Moycullen Co. Galway. Our aim is to bring the traditional art of Japanese fencing to Galway and the West of Ireland where we will strive to teach and learn beautiful Kendo.
The purpose of practising Kendo is
to mold the mind and body
to cultivate a vigorous spirit.
And through correct and rigid training
to strive for improvement in the art of kendo
to hold in esteem human courtesy and honour
to associate with others with sincerity, and
to forever pursue the cultivation of oneself.
This will enable one to
hold in esteem human courtesy and honour
love his/her country and society
contribute to the development of culture
promote peace and prosperity among all peoples.
